All parents at the school are part of the Parent Teacher Association.
We hope this page will give you an idea of what we do and how supporting the PTA can enrich your child's education.
The PTA aims to keep you updated via Facebook, the PTA notice board in the playground, the school newsletter, this webpage and of course you can always come and talk to a PTA committee member if you have any questions or ideas you wish to share.

These are the events we are organising this year:
Spring 2017 Family social event- . A popular night for all the family to socialise, win prizes and improve your numbers all at the same time!
March 2017 Film Night- Usually held on a Friday after school, with refreshments included in the price.
April 2017 Bags2school A chance to clear out the wardrobe, recycle the unwanted items and raise funds for the school. We raised £167 to spend on magazine subscriptions and reading materials.
1st/ 2nd July 2017 Hollowell Steam Rally Tea Tent This is our biggest fundraising opportunity of the school year. For the past 2 years we have managed the tea tent throughout the weekend, enlisting and coordinating volunteers, making sandwiches, serving refreshments etc. Please let us know if you are able to help, it really is fun and rewarding.
8th July 2017 Summer Dance. To be held in the Witch and Sow at 7.30pm. Ticket only event. Disco, live band and buffet.
July 2017 Sals Shoes collection and distribution of the shoes to many countries around the world, including in the UK, meaning those children now have a pair of shoes to go to school in, and can receive an education and grow up and go on to gain full-time employment
A simple way for evenryone to raise funds!
We have set up an easy way for you to support fundraising for the school, which involves shopping!!!
So far it has generated over £400 for the school.
There are over 2700 retailers registered with easyfundraising, including Amazon, eBay, Next, John Lewis, Sports direct, Ticketmaster, Travelodge, Argos and BT, who will donate on average 1.5% of your total spend directly to our school. You can even raise funds when you arrange car insurance, book a day out at Legoland, a spa or the theatre, or when planning your next holiday, including airport parking, train travel and hotels.
Please spare just five minutes of your time and sign up now!!
It's really simple, and doesn't cost you anything. All you have to do is:

- Get shopping - your donations will be collected by easyfundraising and automatically sent to Guilsborough Primary School.
It couldn't be easier! So next time you go online to buy groceries, clothes, photoprints, holidays,train tickets, car insurance, electrical items, etc please log on to the company websites via easyfundraising. Or to make it even easier use the Donation Reminder!
You can also use it when ordering items for business use.
Using easyfundraising will not cost you a penny. There are no catches or hidden charges and you will be supporting the school from the comfort of your own home!
Second Hand School Uniform Sales
We have a great range of donated school uniform which you can easily help yourself to. It's located in the cupboard just inside the school foyer. Great for when you need a jumper at short notice, because all their others have vanished!!
Please give a small donation for anything you take.
If there isn't the item you need please let the office know (or message us on the pta facebook page) and we can check our other stock to see if we have it.

How the money raised last year was spent..
- £700 (£100 per class) for ‘Christmas Wishes’
- £1400 (£200 per class) contribution to school trips
- £1543 for coaches for whole school trip
- £445 for coach to Young Voices Concert
- £545 for Parents Text messaging service
- £3500 towards the new School learning lodge, playground developments and outdoor games
- Additional contributions have been made towards Educational resources, such as Books and Music resources.
